Beatmania (Bīto Mania?), sometimes stylized as beatmania, is a rhythm video game developed and distributed by Japanese video game distributor Konami and first released in 1997. The game has largely contributed to the massive influence in the field music video games starting in 1998 and the series has been adapted and marketed from arcade machines to home consoles to handheld consoles, achieving millions of copies sold worldwide. The Bemani company comes from the original title of the game (Beatmania) from the video game Beatmania 3rdMix. The series ends with Beatmania The Final, released in 2002.
