BATTLE ENGINE AQUILA (PLAYSTATION 2 PS2)

In the future, on the planet Allium, the situation has become desperate. This world has suffered from global warming, causing the polar ice caps to melt. The rising sea has led to a dramatic decrease in the amount of habitable land. Only chains of islands remain, making land the planet's most valuable resource. The entire population must survive and compete on these islands.

Currently, there are two separate civilizations on Allium, settled in an uneasy ceasefire. There's the scientifically advanced Forseti and the aggressive Muspell. The Forseti have recently developed the most advanced combat vehicle in existence, the Battle Engine Aquila. The Aquila is both a four-legged mechanized tank and a combat aircraft, it is able to change modes at will. Players take on the role of Hawk Winter, a Forseti cargo loader operator who was drafted due to his piloting skills.

Battle Engine Aquila is a mechanized shooter set in a larger battlefield. The player only plays a single, but important role in a larger war effort. Much of the gameplay involves supporting and being supported by friendly forces. Players will have to fight naval, air and ground forces in both modes of their combat engine.
