Saturn Backup Memory, known as Backup RAM Cartridge in the United States or Power Memory, is an external storage cartridge used to save game progress and data as an alternative to using memory internal to the system. The cartridge offers more than 16 times more space; offering up to 512k of memory as opposed to the internal 32k.
The cartridge works the same way as the BackUp RAM Cart CD offered for the Sega Mega-CD.
Some games were distributed with save memory stickers, including Policenauts and the North American version of Dragon Force.
