ASPHALT INJECTION (PLAYSTATION VITA)

Asphalt: Injection is an offshoot of the Asphalt arcade racing series and partly based on Asphalt 6: Adrenaline. There is no story to speak of; the player is content to participate in street races on 20 courses vaguely inspired by real cities.

The heart of the game is the career mode in which the player climbs the ranks by winning events - there are a total of 20 leagues with five events each. Overall, the game offers 10 racing modes: the new city destruction mode (destroy objects), normal races, time attack (checkpoint races), elimination (after the end of a stopwatch, the last runner is eliminated), a police chase (avoiding getting caught by the cops), beat'em all (eliminate the opponent by crushing him), collector (collect objects), drift, duel (races against a single car) and under pressure (everyone crashes into the player). Each event rewards stars based on player performance and completing additional objectives which in turn unlock more of the 52 licensed cars. These new cars and upgrades are purchased with money earned from completing events. On the courses, the player can find alternate routes and power-ups like turbo boosts or money.

Besides the career, there is also a free play mode (play single events) and a multiplayer mode for up to eight players.
