ARKANOID DS NINTENDO DS

The latest version of Taito's classic game: Arkanoid. It features the classic gameplay from previous games, the player controls the VAUS spaceship (a moving platform at the base of the lower screen) and its energy ball to destroy the color block (in the upper screen) through each level. As usual, there are various power-ups to help you through the game (laser, slow ball, double balls, next level, etc.)

The game has player mode, multiplayer and vs COM modes.

Single player mode includes Clear mode and Quest mode.

Clear mode is a series of 7 zones of 5 turns each. There are a total of 28 areas in the game. At the end of Clear Modes, Ananke (the main character and pilot of the VAUS) frees one of her captured friends, those friends' VAUS can then be used in the game.

In Quest mode, each previously played round is available to be replayed with a specific challenge (break all blocks of one color within time limit, or ball throw limit, etc.) Each round gives points that can be used to the shop to buy -game features to customize it (block shapes, VAUS, backgrounds, etc.)

VS Com and multiplayer are similar. You must defeat the Com or another friend in the Bust All or Bust Color match. The fastest to reach the goal wins. There are also new power-ups that hinder the opponent.
