Ape Escape 2 is the sequel to Ape Escape. In this platform game, your objective is to catch all the jumping, walking and flying monkeys through the different levels the game has to offer.
A wide arsenal of gadgets can be used to make this all a bit easier, with the Catching Net being the most important weapon of all. Other gadgets include an RC car, to drive over the monkeys and collect objects, an Ape radar, to detect the nearest monkey, a baseball bat, to knock the monkeys unconscious, and a magnet, to move certain objects in the cards.
Your quest is to catch all the monkeys in the levels and stop the evil Specter from taking over the world. All the monkeys in the levels are somewhat unique with their own character abilities and unique name. Some monkeys stay in their seats, while others attack you with projectiles or quickly run away.
