ANIMAL CROSSING CITY FOLK (NINTENDO WII)

Animal Crossing: City Folk is the Wii incarnation of the Animal Crossing series. As in the previous version, players assume the role of a new resident in a town populated and ruled by animals. Players can interact with townspeople, write letters, send gifts, dig for fossils, fish, catch bugs, and more. In-game time uses the Wii's internal clock and calendar. Thus, time and the seasons unfold at the same time as in real life. Therefore, some events only happen on a certain day of the week, or even on special days of the year (like Christmas on December 25).

Additions include a town center, with a few new stores and a few others that were already in previous installments. The game also uses Wi-Fi connection with classic Nintendo "codes": players can visit their friend's village. The game is compatible with the Wii Speak system, which means players can use the microphone to talk to each other.
