AGATHA CHRISTIE: THE ABC MURDERS (XBOX ONE XONE)

Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders is based on the novel of the same name. The main character is detective Hercule Poirot, who, along with his assistant Hastings, investigates the ABC Murder Mystery: a serial killer who bases his murders on the alphabet (and enjoys sending provocative letters to Poirot) is on the loose. Unlike Agatha Christie's other works, this story takes place across several English locations and not in a confined environment. Aside from inspiration, this game has no connection to the Nintendo DS game of the same name.

The majority of the game is spent investigating crime scenes and other locations: searching for and clicking on hotspots and finding clues. Often, the game takes place in close-up view and indicates the number of hotspots to be found in said view. When observing people or places, the player must find the spots that match Poirot's statement (for example, when he says "That woman smokes a lot," the cursor must be held over a cigarette). During conversations, the player must choose to stay in character to gain information and bonus points—but the game continues even after completely botching an interrogation.
