Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (often abbreviated as Splinter Cell) is a series of video games developed and published by Ubisoft.

This tells the story of Sam Fisher, special agent of the secret group of Echelon 3 at the NSA, then of Echelon 4 in Splinter Cell Blacklist.

The name of the series is divided into two parts: "Tom Clancy", American novelist and screenwriter of the first installment, and "Splinter Cell" (in French: "Dissident Cell"), which is a real name for the independent operational groups of the NSA.
