The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Zeruda no densetsu: Sukaiwōdo sōdo?, lit. "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword") is an action-adventure video game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the Wii . This is the sixteenth installment in The Legend of Zelda series. Announced by Shigeru Miyamoto in a private conference during E3 2009, the game was released on November 18, 2011 in Europe, November 20, 2011 in North America, and November 23, 2011 in Japan. On September 1, 2016, the game was released on Nintendo eShop for Wii U.

A remaster titled The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 16, 2021, featuring some graphics, content, and gameplay improvements. An amiibo is offered for sale when it is released.
