Sonic and the Secret Rings, originally named Sonic Wild Fire, is a platform video game from the Sonic series. Developed by the Sonic Team and published by Sega, this game was released in 2007 exclusively on Nintendo's Wii console due to its Wiimote-friendly gameplay.
Spin-off of the series, the origin of its development is due to the failed attempt to port the game Sonic the Hedgehog (released in 2006 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) on the Wii. The game takes place in a universe inspired by Arab civilizations.
This opus has a spiritual sequel in March 2009 called Sonic and the Dark Knight.
