The Walking Dead is an episode-based video game developed and published by Telltale Games, the first episode of which was released in April 2012. It is based on the comic book of the same name by Robert Kirkman.
It was awarded "Game of the Year" at the 2012 Video Games Awards.
The game was followed by an expansion called The Walking Dead: 400 Days, three additional seasons (The Walking Dead: Season 2, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier and The Walking Dead: The Final Season as well as a mini-series called The Walking Dead: Michonne.
