Tamagotchi is a game based on the popular virtual pet of the same name. In this one, you select an egg from the lab, then it hatches in its chamber. From then on, you are entirely responsible for its maintenance. Whether it's feeding, taking medicine, playing with it, cleaning up his poop and scolding or praising him when appropriate, you have to do it all.
Unlike the current Tamagotchi toy, the Game Boy version is not real-time - you can adjust the Tamagotchi's growth rate in the game options. You can also care for up to three Tamagotchi simultaneously. The Game Boy version also offers three different games to play with your pet - depending on which game you select, it will improve their mood, intelligence or fitness.
