CRADLE OF ROME 2 (NINTENDO DS)

Cradle of Rome 2 is the sequel to Cradle of Rome. Just like its predecessor, it is a puzzle game played on a board filled with different objects. The goal is to remove all items on the blue tiles from the board. This is done by creating a match of three or more tiles with an identical element, either horizontally or vertically. Matches to the default tiles refill the board immediately as everything drops. To get rid of the bruises, you have to match them. The level is won when all blue tiles are removed before the time runs out.

The main Adventure mode consists of 100 levels across 5 eras with increasing difficulty and new tiles appearing later in the game. During the game, the player earns resources which can be used between levels to transform a small village into a empire. Blueprints for new buildings are won through a matching pairs mini-game. The visuals of the game consist of hand painted graphics. There are also two unlockable modes (Blitz and Tourney) and 15 additional levels once you complete the main mode with all the rewards.
