After the first Colony Wars game, the Earth Empire was defeated...and the remnants of that regime were sealed inside the Solar System, cut off from the rest of the galaxy by unknown technology. Within Sol, the civilization of the Earth Empire has collapsed. Various tribes and factions, warring against each other, have left humanity's ancient home system a wreckage of scavenging and wasting depleted resources. One leader however, a Kron Commander, seeks to unite the warring clans under a banner of vengeance... and together find a way out of this solar prison.
The game is space combat, performed from a cockpit view. Different weapon combinations can be equipped on your space fighter before launch. Missions take place both in space and inside planetary atmospheres. Various buttons allow you to cycle through weapons, activate tractor beams, communicate responses, and navigate your ship. In typical space combat fashion, you're equipped with 360-degree movement as well as thrust and brake options. The game does not feature realistic inertia, and objects will gradually "slow down" in space.
