ALIEN RESURRECTION (PS1 PLAYSTATION)

Two hundred years after the events of Alien³, Lieutenant Ellen Ripley is cloned by military scientists interested in the alien queen she had become the host. Like the "Company" from previous films, the military intends to use the Queen to raise a bioweapons force. But then something goes wrong; the aliens they are studying manage to escape and swarm throughout the science vessel. It's up to four stranded heroes - Ripley, Call, DiStephano and Christie - to take out the aliens and return the ship safely to Earth.

Gameplay is standard FPS action, with limited ammo and plenty of hazards to navigate around or find the switch to turn off. The player switches between the four main characters with each level change, each with a slightly different set of abilities (Call has a motion tracker, Christie has her twin guns from the movie). The levels are based on operating the Auriga and fighting your way through the ship to escape.

The game uses a true 3D engine, allowing for ladders, rooms on rooms, and the ability to look up and down. Aliens also use 3D space and can crawl along walls and ceilings, or jump from shadows to attack. Scripts are also used extensively to set up cinematic moments (like an alien chasing a fleeing guard) across levels.
